Account Deletion

Delete in the Alpha app

1. Open Alpha and sign in.
2. Open Settings, then Delete account.
3. Review the consequences and confirm permanent deletion.

Request deletion without the app

Email privacy@alpha-app.onlinefrom the email address connected to the account. Use the subject “Alpha account deletion request” and include your handle if known. If you used Sign in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, send from or identify the Apple relay address connected to Alpha.

We may ask for a limited verification step to protect the account. We will not ask for your password. If you cannot access the account email, explain that in the request and provide the minimum information needed to locate the account.

What deletion covers

Deletion is intended to remove the authentication account and associated profile, posts, replies, reactions, saves, follows, community memberships, direct-message relationships, notification tokens, and uploaded media under our control. Content copied or quoted by other people before deletion, material independently retained by a recipient, and data outside our control may remain.

Timing and limited retention

The active account is deleted or de-identified after verification without unreasonable delay. Residual encrypted backups and provider caches expire on their normal rotation schedules. We may retain a narrowly scoped record where necessary for fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or enforcement against ban evasion. Any retained record is access-limited and no longer used to operate a normal member profile.

Subscriptions and purchases

Deleting Alpha does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in the relevant store first to avoid future renewal. Store refund requests are governed by the Refund Policy.
