Alpha legal
Terms of Use
These Terms are a binding agreement between each member and Ahmed Mansour, the individual operator of Alpha.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern the Alpha mobile applications, web application, public website, authentication and upload services, communities, messaging, and related features (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Ahmed Mansour,an individual developer operating Alpha from Egypt (“Alpha,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By selecting the acceptance control and creating an account, you enter into these Terms, agree to the Community Guidelines, and acknowledge thePrivacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not create or use an account.
1. Eligibility and authority
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding contract.
- You may not use Alpha if applicable law prohibits you from receiving the Service or if we previously terminated you for a serious or repeated violation.
- If you use Alpha for an organization, you represent that you have authority to act for it; you remain responsible for your personal account and conduct.
- The Service is not offered where providing it would violate sanctions, export controls, licensing rules, or other applicable law.
2. Account registration and security
- Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
- Keep passwords, devices, social-sign-in accounts, and recovery methods secure. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
- Do not sell, rent, transfer, share, or lend an account, or create accounts using automated or deceptive means.
- Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent affiliation, or evade a restriction, strike, block, or ban.
- We may require reasonable verification to protect an account, investigate abuse, or comply with law.
You are responsible for activity under your account to the extent permitted by law. Alpha is not responsible for loss caused by your failure to protect credentials, but this does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
3. The nature of Alpha
Alpha provides tools for founders and builders to publish work, join communities, exchange feedback, and communicate. Members—not Alpha—create most content and decide what to share. Alpha does not endorse a member's claims, validate traction or credentials, guarantee a business outcome, or act as an employer, investor, broker, adviser, marketplace escrow, or party to member-to-member arrangements.
4. Your content and permissions to operate the Service
As between you and Alpha, you retain ownership of content you create. You grant Alpha a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, encode, adapt for technical display, distribute, communicate, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, improve, and promote the Service in accordance with your settings and this agreement.
- The license includes technical actions such as resizing images, transcoding media, generating previews, showing a post in feeds, and delivering a message to its intended recipient.
- For public content, the license includes displaying the content in Alpha's own product previews or store materials, with reasonable attribution where practicable. We will not sell your standalone content as stock media.
- The license ends when content is deleted from active systems, except for copies reasonably retained in backups, safety/legal records, material shared by other members, or content another member has independently incorporated into their own lawful content.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content and grant this license, and that doing so does not violate law, confidentiality, privacy, intellectual property, contractual obligations, or another person's rights.
5. Feedback to Alpha
If you voluntarily send product ideas or feedback, you grant Alpha permission to use it without restriction or compensation. This does not transfer ownership of your confidential product plans or content merely because they were posted on the Service. Do not send confidential information through a public feedback channel.
6. Community rules and prohibited conduct
The Community Guidelines are part of these Terms. You must also follow the more detailed Community Policy. In particular, you may not:
- threaten, harass, bully, hate, exploit, sexually abuse, doxx, or encourage self-harm;
- publish illegal, infringing, deceptive, fraudulent, obscene, or unlawfully discriminatory material;
- use Alpha for spam, fake engagement, coordinated manipulation, malicious automation, scams, or credential collection;
- trade prohibited weapons, controlled substances, stolen goods, or other unlawful or restricted products;
- attack, scrape at scale, reverse engineer except where law permits, probe, overload, bypass, or interfere with the Service or its safeguards;
- collect or expose another person's data without a lawful basis and appropriate permission;
- circumvent feature limits, moderation, access controls, rate limits, or account restrictions; or
- use Alpha for political campaigning, partisan arguments, religious debate, or other content excluded by the Quiet Rooms rules.
7. Moderation, reports, and appeals
Alpha may use automated screening and human review to detect and respond to violations. We may reject, label, reduce distribution of, preserve, or remove content; limit features; issue a warning or strike; suspend or terminate an account; or refer credible danger or unlawful activity to appropriate authorities. Context, severity, intent, history, reach, and risk inform the response. Serious conduct may result in immediate action without three prior strikes.
Moderation is imperfect and we do not promise to find every violation. Members can report and block, and can appeal as described in Strikes & Appeals. Abuse of reporting tools is itself a violation.
8. Privacy, permissions, and electronic communications
The Privacy Notice explains data handling. You authorize Alpha to send transactional messages necessary for the Service—such as security, account, policy, and moderation notices. Optional push notifications and marketing, if introduced, are controlled separately. Electronic acceptance, notices, and records satisfy writing requirements to the extent permitted by law.
9. Intellectual property and legal notices
The Alpha name, marks, design, software, original copy, and service arrangement are owned byAhmed Mansour or licensed from their respective owners. Except for a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service as intended, no Alpha rights are granted to you. Third-party open-source packages remain subject to their own licenses.
A rights owner may send a sufficiently detailed notice tolegal@alpha-app.online. Identify the work, the material and its exact location, your contact details, your authority, and the factual basis for the request. We may forward the notice to the affected member and may restore material where a valid response shows removal was mistaken, subject to applicable law.
10. Third-party services and links
Alpha relies on platforms and processors and may link to websites we do not control. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. We do not guarantee third-party content, availability, security, or transactions. Use caution before sending money, credentials, code, or confidential information to another member or website.
11. Paid features, subscriptions, and refunds
Alpha is currently free. If a paid feature is introduced, its price, billing period, renewal terms, taxes, and material conditions will be shown before purchase. App-store purchases are also governed by the relevant store agreement. Subscriptions renew until cancelled through the purchasing platform. Deleting an Alpha account does not necessarily cancel a store-managed subscription. The Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.
12. Changes, availability, and beta features
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features for product, safety, legal, or operational reasons. Alpha may be unavailable during maintenance or failure. Beta or experimental features may be incomplete, change without notice, and produce unexpected results; do not rely on them for safety-critical, regulated, or irreplaceable work. Where practical, we will give advance notice of a material discontinuation.
13. Suspension, termination, and deletion
You may stop using Alpha and delete your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for breach, credible risk, legal requirement, prolonged inactivity under a separately announced policy, or discontinuation of the Service. When reasonable, we give notice and an appeal route; urgent risk or law may require immediate action.
Sections that by nature should survive—content permissions for retained copies, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms, and accrued obligations—survive termination. Account-data deletion is described in theAccount Deletion page and Privacy Notice.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Alpha disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that content is true, safe, complete, confidential after you share it, or suitable for investment, legal, medical, tax, employment, security, or business decisions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, duty, or remedy that applicable consumer law does not allow us to exclude.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alpha and Ahmed Mansour will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss; loss of profit, opportunity, reputation, goodwill, business, or data; or damage caused by another member or a third-party service. For claims arising from the Service, aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Alpha during the twelve months before the event or USD 100.
These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that applicable law does not permit us to limit.
16. Your responsibility for claims
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless Alpha and Ahmed Mansourfrom third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful content, misuse of the Service, or material breach of these Terms. This does not require you to indemnify us for our own negligence, misconduct, or breach, and it does not limit mandatory consumer rights. We will give reasonable notice and allow reasonable participation in the defense.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without giving effect to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with jurisdiction in Egypt will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except that mandatory consumer law may allow you to bring a claim in your place of residence and may give you protections that cannot be waived.
Before filing a non-urgent claim, email legal@alpha-app.onlinewith a description and requested resolution and allow 30 days for an informal response. This does not prevent urgent injunctive relief or a complaint to a regulator.
18. General terms
- If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions continue.
- Failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver.
- You may not assign these Terms without consent. We may assign them with the Service or as part of a reorganization, subject to applicable law.
- Headings are for convenience. “Including” means “including without limitation.”
- These Terms and the incorporated policies are the entire agreement about the Service, except for purchase-specific terms shown at checkout.
19. Changes and contact
The effective date and version appear above. We will provide reasonable advance notice of a material change when required. Continued account use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only where permitted; if renewed affirmative acceptance is legally or materially necessary, Alpha will ask for it.
